In 1950 Lucien Boillot transplanted from the family seat in Volnay to the other side of the region in Gevrey-Chambertin. Since 2003 his son Pierre has overseen the seven-hectare domaine: its vineyards are 60% in the Côte de Nuits and 40% in the Côte de Beaune.
Succulent berry fruit and slight vegetal flavours gives way to silky soft tannins and excellent depth and concentration.
