Quasar is produced for us exclusively from Bodegas Ondarre and demonstrate the quality of their Reservas and Gran Reservas which have won them worldwide acclaim.
The vineyards are made up of predminantly clay based soils with high iron and chalk content.
Each grape variety of this complex blend was fermented separately in temperature controlled vats. The fermentation lasted for 16 to 18 days at temperatures of between 28 to 30°C. The wine was matured for 16 months in American and French oak casks of the Bordeaux type.
Deep ruby red with brick hues, this mature wine shows aromatic complexity of red berries, liquorice and hints of smokiness with earthy and savoury notes. The flavour is smooth, long and with good backbone.
