VINTAGE FACTORS:A wet Spring led into a sustained dry Summer, but with the arrival of a rainy Fall, weather forecasting became difficult, and the Cabernet Franc – one of our most resilient varietals – was selectively picked on several different dates, and rewarded us with another beautiful wine. This vintage holds the Gold Medal of the San Francisco International Wine Competition of 2013.
VINIFICATION:Traditional fermentation on the skins, and maceration of up to 21 days in stainless steel tank. Agedup to 14 months in new and used barriques of superior French oak, air-dried at least 3 years before coopering
Dark garnet core, brilliant clarity in the glass. Intense, effusively luscious flavors of ripe red berries with caramelised notes of fig, cherry, and plum, elegantly woven together in barrel.
