Awesome Aussie Additions
In September we have added to our burgeoning Australian portfolio with the addition of two new wines from multi-award winning winemaker, Larry Cherubino, and a sassy new Sauvignon Blanc from Fox Gordon in the Adelaide Hills.
Larry Cherubino, Cherubino, Beautiful South White Blend 2016, has a wonderfully light touch of oak, coating the mouth with a sensuous texture. Incredibly balanced with tropical notes, finishing with a cleansing citrusy acidity.
Matthew Jukes, 100 Best Australian Wines: “If our cousins in Bordeaux could take a leaf out of Larry’s book we would all be fully conversant in Graves-speak. Less oak, more fruit is always a difficult one for the old world to understand but if anyone needs a model – here it is.”
Larry Cherubino, Cherubino, Frankland River, Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, is dense, intense and powerful, yet still retains a silky elegance. It is bursting with dark fruits, cinnamon and peppery notes.
Matthew Jukes, 100 Best Australian Wines: “A whole new world of flavour. The flavour is mighty and profound with hitherto unexplored depths of black fruit.”
Fox Gordon, Sassy, Sauvignon Blanc, Adelaide Hills 2016, does exactly what it says on the tin, the aromatics are punchy and rich, yet have a delicacy associated with the cool climate of the Adelaide Hills.
